Moment of Silence
Take a moment to remember Dr. King at 6 p.m. April 4, 2008
The federal Fair Housing Act was passed on April 11, 1968 to mark Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s fight for Civil Rights in all areas, including housing. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the federal Fair Housing Act and Dr. King's assassination.
Join us on April 4, 2008 at Isaiah Frederick's Community Center, 3312 Martin Luther King Drive, Gulfport, Mississippi at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and moment of silence.
If you are unable to attend, wear please wear a purple ribbon on April 4 and throughout the month of April to remember Dr. King and fair housing.
