open handImprint on the Impact 67 Minutes for 4 Years of Recovery

Recovering from Hurricane Katrina has been a long and arborous process shared by citizens of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Without the assistance of nonprofit, committed volunteers from across the nation and the determination of the people that survived America's Gulf Coast would be unable to have come this far. We recognize much must still be done. We invite you to join us in celebrating both what has been accomplished over the last four years and highlighting the remaining needs.

On Saturday, July 18, 2009 people across the world will be giving 67 minutes of their time to recognize the 67 years of service Nelson Mandela has given to the the global community. This event, entitled Mandela Day, is a great opportunity for those living, working and supporting the Gulf Coast of America to take 67 minutes to recognize the impact Hurricane Katrina has had on our community. Join us at 9:53 am at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The walk will end at 11:00 am. Participants will receive water and t -shirts to commemorate the event. Feel free to make signs or your own shirts highlighting the work you or your organization has done!
